Nominated for a Writer's Guild Award for its screenplay, FREAK CITY examines the nature of friendship between five friends in a care center for physically and mentally challenged.  When an embittered young woman is put into '"Freak City" against her will, she finds it is her emotional disabilities, not the physical ones, that threaten to compromise her future, and the bonds of friendship she has forged.
